12.03.2023Polish soldiers alongside NATO Allies conduct military training for volunteers"Today we are having the next edition of our "Train with the Army" [Polish: Trenuj z wojskiem] program, however today we are exercising with NATO. The instructors, in addition to soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces, include among others soldiers from the United States military. But this is not a festival. This is a day displaying our path to freedom, a day demonstrating our efforts and our concern for Poland to be free and to develop. For that to happen, Poland must stay safe. Thanks to the reason that we strengthen the Polish Armed Forces, that we establish new military units, thanks to the fact that the Polish Military is growing in numbers, thanks to the fact that it is equipped with modern weapons, Poland is safe," said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak during a meeting with Participants of the "Train with NATO" [Polish: Trenuj z NATO] campaign.

07.03.2023Poland is ready to service and repair tanks supplied to Ukraine"I have a scheduled meeting with Boris Pistorius, the Minister of Defense of Germany. The main issue we will discuss is the low availability of spare parts for Leopard tanks. What I expect of Minister Pistorius is that he will influence German industry so that these parts will be procured. We are prepared to set up a service hub in Poland to overhaul and service Leopard tanks delivered to Ukraine. The most important thing is to overcome the impasse. I'm counting on Minister Pistorius to cause the German armaments industry to supply parts to the hub, which will be established at the Bumar-Labędy plant." - Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said at a press conference before his departure to Sweden.

15.02.2023A strong NATO is a guarantee of the security of the free world"The Polish approach is steady and coherent. The North Atlantic Alliance should focus on strengthening the armed forces, on building interoperability. In my speech, I stressed that 2% of GDP for defense is the minimum, and the target should be much higher. A great many voices were raised sharing just such a point of view. I consider that we are on the right track to make the North Atlantic Alliance even stronger. This is a guarantee of the security of all NATO countries, but it is also a guarantee for the entire free world." - noted Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak after the session of the North Atlantic Council.

13.02.2023Polish soldiers train Ukrainian tank crews on Leopards"We are not waiting until the coalition of countries willing to transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine is formed. We have already started training Ukrainian soldiers on Leopard tanks. As Mr. President said, tankers are people who have experienced war. They previously used post-Soviet equipment, and today they are getting trained to operate Western equipment. This equipment has an undoubted advantage.
