On the second last weekend of summer, members of the Polish Association in New Zealand and their children as well as families from the folk dance group "Orlęta" spent a weekend at the El Rancho resort in Kapiti.

A meeting of Polish families with children from the Wellington area, although in the current form of the annual "El Rancho" summer camp has been held since 2014, the first family picnic took place in 1980.
