The 18th Chopin Piano Competition is coming to a close. Over 94 years, more than 1,500 talented musicians from nearly 80 countries have taken part in this great musical festival.
Although Fryderyk Chopin never left Europe, his music resounds all over the world, also in New Zealand.

It is noteworthy, that in 1832 Chopin began his international carrier in Paris by playing in a building which today is the Polish Ambassador’s residence. You might find the connections between the composer and diplomacy very interesting as diplomacy is the art of playing many instruments.
