On May 2, 2024, Ambassador Grzegorz Kowal participated in the Flag Day celebration organized by the Pahiatua city authorities and Pahiatua and Districts Museum.

The enitre city was celebrating in red and white, the Polish flag was raised on the city hall's mast and the Polish national anthem was played. The city streets and shops were decorated with Polish national colors.

During the meeting with representatives of the city, Amb. Kowal presented prizes to the young finalists of the art competition about Poland. In addition to the elderly "Children from Pahiatua", among the guests of the ceremonial reception were the mayor of Palmerston North, Pahiatua city councilors and representatives of local business.
