Polish economic delegation to New Zealand

Polish Trade and Investment Agency spent a week of June 10th -14th, 2024 in New Zealand.

The main purpose of the delegation was to participate in Fieldays. Fieldays is the Southern Hemisphere's largest agricultural event and the ultimate launch platform for cutting edge technology and innovation, organized annually in Hamilton.

During the week, Ambassador Grzegorz Kowal invited the members of the delegation for a working lunch with the Board of POLANZ - the Polish-New Zealand Business Association. The participants were discussing the possibilities of developing economic cooperation between Poland and New Zealand.

One of the main events was the conference in Auckland on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the European Union. The evening gathering was combined with a panel discussion on the use of the Free Trade Agreement between the EU and New Zealand, which entered into force as of May 1, 2024.

The delegation visited as well the South Island and had several meetings, including the representatives of Christchurch City Council and ChristchurchNZ Authority, New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association Inc. and visits to a couple of local businesses.
