Celebration of All Saints Day in Wellington

Each year we celebrate the All Saints Day by visiting the Polish graves in Wellington

Wizyta na grobach

On November 6, as part of the celebration of the All Saints Day and the Polish Independence Day, the Ambassador Grzegorz Kowal together with representatives of the Polish Ex-Servicemen Association in New Zealand and the Polish Association in New Zealand, visited and laid flowers on the graves of distinguished Poles and Polish soldiers who fought in World War II.

The delegation also laid flowers on the grave of Consul Wodzicki and his wife, who were responsible for bringing 733 children and their guardians to New Zealand on October 30, 1944. Delegation also visited the Church of St Mary of the Angels in Wellington, where they laid flowers and prayed by the Katyn plaque.
