Poland in the OSCE

Cyprus will chair the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) meetings until April 2024.

On 1 January 2024, Malta began its one-year Chairpersonship of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) with the aim of strengthening the level of resilience and effectiveness of the Organisation.

The participants of the conference discussed the key challenges for the Indo-Pacific region with the aim to analyse interdependencies between the OSCE area and the Indo-Pacific region as well as to exchange experience on how to address global challenges.

The Warsaw Human Dimension Conference, held from October 2 to 13 October 2023 in Warsaw, is the largest conference on human rights in Europe.

At the OSCE Asian Partners for Co-operation Group Conference (APCG) co-hosted by Poland and Japan, participants addressed approaches to peacebuilding, as well as the experiences and lessons learned of Asian partners in ensuring sustainable peace in the region.

At the OSCE Asian Partners for Co-operation Group Conference co-hosted by Poland and Australia participants addressed common challenges through reinvigorated multilateral co-operation.

Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk took part in a conference of states parties to the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) which was convened due to Russia’s withdrawal from the Treaty. Poland chaired the conference convened by the Netherlands, the depository of the Treaty.

The main OSCE meeting in the political-military dimension discussed current issues in relation to armed conflict, arms control and non-military threats such as terrorism, organized crime, border security and cyber security.

The Special OSCE Asian Partners for Co-operation Group met today to discuss key aspects for ensuring women’s participation in political and public life. The meeting was convened by the Polish Chair of the Group.
