How to Create an Account in TRACES
TRACES is available on the website of the European Commission
If you are an importer:
- Create an EU Login account - for instructions see below - Instructions for Creating an EU Login Account.
- Then create an account in TRACES NT as an operator by selecting the role “EU professional operators other than EU registered professional operators”. Under current legislation, an importer may only be an operator registered in the Official Professional Operators Register (OPOR) - if you are not registered, contact your local Voivodeship Plant Protection and Seed Inspectorate (VPPSI). VPPSI may give operators registered with OPOR the EU registered professional operator (EURPO) role in TRACES NT. Only account users with this role may make full use of all TRACES NT functions.
- If you are an importer and do not want to apply and work in TRACES yourself - you do not need to do anything else.
- If you are an importer and want to apply for border inspection yourself in TRACES - add the new role of “Responsible For The Load” to your account.
- If you are a customs agency, freight forwarder or another entity that provides services to importers, i.e. you will be filing TRACES applications and completing CHED-PPs on behalf of importers, set up a “Responsible For The Load” account.
If you are an exporter:
- Create an EU Login account - for instructions see below - Instructions for Creating an EU Login Account.
