Business on high heels
08.03.2024
Does Polish Aid support business clubs? Yes, provided that it is a "Business Club on Heels" whose main objective is to help Moldovan women to start and develop their own businesses. So far, over 300 participants have benefited from the special trainings.
The “Business club” was established within the framework of the project “Business on high heels - support for enterprising women in Moldova” by the Podlasie Foundation for Regional Development during the stage of the project. The participants took part in meetings on managing a small company, got support from highly skilled advisors and received help in creating business plans or setting up their own company. The next stage involved a training session called “First steps towards your own business” on entrepreneurship and running your own business. All 60 women who participated in the session would also be eligible to apply for funding to open their own business the following year. In addition, a study visit to Poland was organized with focus on best practices and experiences in developing female entrepreneurship.
The final activity of the first module of the project was the Day of Entrepreneurial Women in Moldova, with the primary objective of encouraging as many women as possible to start their own company. There was also an announcement of the establishment of the Entrepreneurial Women’s community and a call for financial support to start a business. A cooperation platform called “Business Club on high heels” was also launched for women interested in personal and professional development.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland through the Polish Development cooperation Programme. The project budget allocation for 2023 is approximately 96 556 EUR.
