Global Education Ideas Award
One of the recent GENE initiatives is the Global Education Ideas Award – a competition for innovation in the field of global education, addressed to institutions and organisations operating in this area.
In 2019, the third edition of the competition was held, the winners of which were Artevelede University of Applied Science from Belgium for the LIVING LAB initiative – ClimateFACTORY and ClimateLAB – an interdepartmental educational path for students and the French organisation Union des associations e-graine – for the project titled One World Citizen, as well as a Slovakian newspaper Hospodářské noviny - for the project titled HN Global Academy– Global Education for journalists with journalists.
In 2017, the award in the field of innovation was granted to Villages of the World – Global Education Park in Kraków; a project developed by the Youth for the World – Salesian Voluntary Service, and a distinction was received by the Education for Democracy Foundation for their e-globalna.edu.pl project.
