Polish aid

In the podcast we will hear Magdalena Kudlicka who was seconded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work for the UNDP, where she supports the implementation of projects in Moldova. She considers the Polish Challenge Fund involving companies and research institutes from Poland as an example of effective support mechanisms.

 

The fund co-finances innovative solutions that respond to specific development challenges and include primarily: green technologies, information and communication technologies and market development. Polish companies share their knowledge and experience, but also establish cooperation with Moldovan partners, what is beneficial for all the parties. To date, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has donated $1.5 million to the UNDP for such projects.

 

Supported by the Fund, Jerzy Ślusarczyk, president of Prote, is helping to implement his own technology in Moldova to improve the quality of wastewater and reduce the amount of sludge. In turn, Maciej Majchrowicz, a member of the board of Ecobean, talked about how the Polish innovative way of using coffee grounds is being introduced. Tatiana Arkan, a representative of Business Development Capital from Moldova, a partner of the Polish company Civitta Poland, presented the Queen Innovation Challenge project, which helps to establish partnership and cooperation between Polish and Moldovan business women.
