What is the project selection procedure?
The call for applications of Polish institutions is published in the last quarter of the year preceding the year of project implementation. Projects must fall within the thematic scope defined in the Development Cooperation Plan for that year.
Foreign service posts are responsible for the implementation of projects in terms of organisation, finance and reporting. However, the initiative originates from local partners or beneficiaries, who are responsible for the proper use of the support provided and for maintaining project results after the end of the funding by Poland. The originators present their proposals to the locally competent institutions, which then, having selected the most valuable initiatives, submit them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for approval.
