Alarm Levels

In accordance with the Anti-Terrorism Act, in the event of a terrorist incident or threat, one of four alert levels can be introduced:

  • ALFA,
  • BRAVO,
  • CHARLIE,
  • DELTA.

If a cyber-related terrorist incident threatens public administration or critical infrastructure, a CRP alert level may be issued (ALFA CRP, BRAVO CRP, CHARLIE CRP, DELTA CRP). Alert levels are ordered, changed, or canceled by the Prime Minister through a decree, based on advice from the Minister of Internal Affairs and the head of the ABW (Internal Security Agency), or by the Minister in urgent situations.

Each alert level corresponds to specific tasks for state authorities, as outlined in the Prime Minister’s regulation of July 25, 2016, regarding measures taken at each level.
