Independent Department of Protection and Control
The scope of duties of the Independent Department of Protection and Control includes:
- Ensuring the protection of classified information, including the implementation of physical security measures at the Centre's headquarters.
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of the classified information protection plan.
- Ensuring the protection of information systems processing classified data.
- Managing the risk of classified information security, particularly risk assessment.
- Developing security documentation for classified ICT systems, administering these systems, and ensuring their continuous operation, including the OPAL Classified Internet Mail System.
- Conducting training on the protection of classified information.
- Controlling the protection of classified and other legally protected information, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Acting as the Data Protection Officer in accordance with data protection laws.
- Coordinating the operation of the Electronic Document Management System.
- Planning, organizing, and conducting internal audits within the Centre.
- Managing assigned proceedings regarding property damage and other investigative procedures.
- Preparing audit assignments for external entities and coordinating administrative tasks related to external audits.
- Initiating and implementing security measures for the physical protection of the Centre's headquarters and cooperating with relevant units of the Prime Minister’s Office and the State Protection Service.
- Organizing activities within the management control system and supervising the effectiveness of this system, ensuring proper use of signals from ongoing control actions.
- Acting as the coordinator for the Government Anti-Corruption Program.
