Apostille

Singapore acceded to the HCCH Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents and begins issuing the Apostille on 16 September 2021.

Apostille is a certification that the document has been issued by a proper office - apostille certifies the authenticity of a signature and stamp/seal of a foreign official. This allows you to use a foreign official document in Poland.

Apostille replaces the need to legalize documents by a consul. It means that after 15 September 2021, this procedure will no longer be executed at the Polish Embassy in Singapore.

The institution designated by the Singaporean authorities to implement this convention is the Singapore Academy of Law. Detailed information on the procedure for obtaining an apostille can be obtained from this institution:

Address: 1 Coleman Street, # 08 - 06 The Adelphi, Singapore 179803

Email address: legalisation@sal.org.sg

Website: https://legalisation.sal.sg/

Hotline: +65 6332 4388

The consul is not engaged in obtaining the apostille.

If a foreign authority requires the apostille on a Polish document, please read the information available on the Polish MFA website:
