Legalisation
Legalisation is a certification that the document has been issued by an authorised office - by means of legalisation the consul certifies the authenticity of a signature and stamp/seal of a foreign official. This allows you to use a foreign official document in Poland.
The Polish consul in Bangkok legalises documents issued in Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar.
Please note! The consul does not legalise documents issued in Poland and can only legalise originals and official extracts of documents. Photocopies and computer printouts cannot be legalised. The documents must be authenticated by the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs before you present them to the consul.
The consul will refuse to legalise documents without prior superlegalisation (authentication by MFA).
You can book your appointment to apply for a visa via the e-konsulat system, by choosing “Legal matters” from the menu on the left of the screen. If the system does not show a date you want, it means there are no slots available on that date or the Consular Section is closed. New appointments are opened every Tuesday from 10.00-10.30 a.m. local time.
- The consular fee for legalizing a document is 1084 THB.
- Consular fees should be paid upon submitting your application at the Consular Section.
- Accepted forms of payment: cash.
- The final amount of the fee will be determined during the visit after analyzing the submitted documents.
- More information about the payment is available here: Consular fees.
