On Saturday, 6 November, the participants of The eMobi Road to COP26 initiative visited London. The initiative, organised by the Polish Chamber of Electromobility Development Association (PIRE), is a drive by electric cars through Europe to Glasgow to present a petition for the establishment of a World Electromobility Day by the United Nations at the COP26 climate conference.

On Sunday, 17 October 2021, Professor John Rink, an authority on the works of Fryderyk Chopin, and a Chopin Piano Competition juror, received the Bene Merito honorary distinction during a ceremony at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by Head of the Foreign Service Arkady Rzegocki, Director of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute Artur Szklener, as well as the jurors of the 18th Chopin Piano Competition and distinguished guests from the world of culture.

On Monday, 4 September at the St Francis of Assisi Church in London, the funeral of Karolina Kaczorowska, the last Polish First Lady in Exile, wife of the last President of Poland in Exile Ryszard Kaczorowski, émigré activist and teacher, took place.

Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been receiving reports of phone scams in which fraudsters claim to be either MFA’s employees or employees of Polish missions abroad to get the call recipients perform certain actions, especially money transfers. Usually, during the phone conversation scammers will inform you that you have failed to follow certain procedures or provided partial or false data while filling out forms, which will allegedly bring about legal consequences.

Aware of its role in supporting international academic exchange, internationalization of universities and research institutions as well as dissemination of information about the Polish system of higher education and science, the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA has launched a new platform, “Research in Poland”.

An estimated 25 million people are in forced labour globally. Out of this number, 16 million are exploited in the private sector, 4.8 million are in forced sexual exploitation and 4 million in forced labour imposed by state authorities. Women and girls are disproportionately affected by forced labour.
