While emphasising Poland’s position as a leading food producer and exporter in Europe, Minister Ardanowski raised the subject of Poland’s most important expectations with regard to broadening and streamlining access for Polish agricultural products and foods to the Palestinian market (among others, beef and beef products, eggs and egg products). Minister Ardanowski mentioned the Polish range of halal meats and emphasised that plants interested in this type of exports already hold the required certificates approved by competent institutions.

The Palestinian Ambassador provided information about the interest of Palestinian producers in the Polish market and in the export of products such as dates and grapes.

Minister Ardanowski presented Ambassador Khalifa with an invitation for the Palestinian Minister of Agriculture to take part in the POLAGRA FOOD 2020 fair, which will be held from 28 September to 1 October 2020 in Poznań, seeing it as an excellent opportunity for agricultural producers from both countries to establish contacts.

In 2019, Polish exports of agricultural products and foods to Palestine reached EUR 8.8 million. The products most popular among importers included mineral water, chocolate and chocolate products, cakes and biscuits, dairy products and frozen beef.
