26.09.2024 PoznanFlood situation and CAP reform – topics of the expanded Visegrad Group’s meetingIn Poznań, the debate of the Visegrad Group expanded to include Bulgaria and Romania (GV4+2) was held. The Polish delegation was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski. At the press conference, which was held after the GV4+2 meeting, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture recapitulated the discussed issues, which included the flood situation in the countries of our region and possible joint measures within the European Union, experiences regarding the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy, as well as expectations toward it and future challenges. The Ministers also attended yesterday’s ceremonial opening of the Polagra Fair and visited the exhibition.

10.09.2024Malaysia and the Philippines are opening up for Polish meatOn 2-5 September 2024, the Secretary of State Michał Kołodziejczak visited Malaysia and the Republic of the Philippines as part of a delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Radosław Sikorski. The objective of the visit was to discuss the prospects for development of cooperation in the agricultural sector. The participants discussed, inter alia, the elimination of barriers to access of Polish agri-food products to the Malaysian and Philippine markets and the balancing of the results of bilateral trade. Deputy Minister Michał Kołodziejczak was accompanied by the Director General of the MARD Bogusław Wijatyk and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Paweł Meyer.
