Poland has achieved one of the most important negotiating successes of this year. During the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting, which was held on 11-12 December in Brussels, the delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski and Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak secured a political agreement on fishing quotas for the years 2026-2028, taking into account the key Polish demands regarding the Baltic Sea.

Poland's strong position on simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy was presented during today's AGRIFISH Council meeting in Brussels by the Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski.

Reaching political agreement on two Commission's proposals concerning next year's fishing opportunities in the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea, as well as a debate on potential innovation and simplification of the Common Agricultural Policy post-2027 were on the agenda of the two-day AGRIFISH Council meeting that was started today in Brussels. Polish food is gaining new markets and Polish producers are increasingly braver in entering the markets of Southern Europe. The talks focus mainly on expanding access to the Uzbek market for Polish agri-food products and developing expert, phytosanitary and trade cooperation.

Acceleration of market access procedures and presentation of the potential of Polish beef - these are the major subjects of the meeting between the Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak and the Korean importers of meat. - Today's talks are another step towards opening an important, promising market for our producers - stressed the Deputy Minister.
