Today, the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak attended the meeting closing the audit of the inspectors from the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the People’s Republic of China (MARA). As a result of the audit, the Chinese representatives positively assessed the Polish system of supervision over the production of poultry meat and the application of regionalisation. This is another measure aimed at resuming the export of Polish poultry meat to China.

The main topics discussed at the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting in Brussels on 18 November 2024 included: the current situation in agricultural markets and fishing opportunities for 2025 in the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea and – in relation to certain deep-sea fish stocks – for 2025 and 2026. The Polish delegation was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak.

This is another measure taken to resume the export of Polish poultry meat to China. The meeting was also attended by the Chief Veterinary Officer Krzysztof Jażdżewski.

During yesterday’s talk with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval informed that currently trade in Ukrainian cereals and oilseeds had largely returned to traditional export routes leading through the Black Sea.

Today, the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak received a Vietnamese delegation headed by the Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee, Pham Gia Tuc.

– We will support the development of the meat sector in Poland – assured the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski during the World Meat Day Congress held in Warsaw.

– We need to improve farmers’ awareness of climate change and support them in their search for new technological solutions and innovation – said the Secretary of State Jacek Czerniak during today’s conference entitled “Warsaw climate talks”, organised by the Embassy of Germany in Warsaw. After the conference, Deputy Minister Jacek Czerniak attended a moderated discussion with the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany Silvia Bender.

– The European Union is diversified, but that is good. We are different, but, at the same time, we are together. We are a certain unity. I think that this is a great value that should be appreciated and nurtured – emphasised the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski during the preparatory seminar of the General Secretariat of the Council before the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

– The ban on the import of Polish apples may bring losses to both Polish exporters and recipients of apples in Kazakhstan. We expect the lifting of restrictions as soon as possible and the resumption of the possibility of exporting Polish apples – stressed the Secretary of State Michał Kołodziejczak during yesterday’s meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland Alim Kirabayev.

During the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting held in Luxembourg on 21-22 October 2024, the important issues related to agriculture were discussed. The topics raised during the meeting concerned mainly the conclusions on the Common Agricultural Policy after 2027, the challenges facing the EU food chain, the financing of crisis measures in the European Union and agricultural issues related to trade. On behalf of the Polish delegation, the farmers’ affairs were represented by the Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak.
