Polish-Pakistani talks

Today, Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik met with Mr. Khalid Hussain Memon, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland, to address the development of relations in the agri-food sector.

State of Polish-Pakistani cooperation in the field of agriculture

Deputy Minister Ryszard Bartosik presented the potential of Polish agriculture and the opportunities for food exports to foreign markets. The interlocutors confirmed the will to intensify bilateral cooperation, particularly in the context of numerous natural disasters which recently affected Pakistan.

Trade in agri-food products with Pakistan

Poland is particularly keen to balance the trade in agri-food products.

In 2022, the Polish agri-food exports to Pakistan reached the level of EUR 3.9 million. Poland primarily sends whey and starch to the Pakistani market.

In 2022, the imports from Pakistan amounted to EUR 28.9 million, including mainly rice.
