Intensity of the cooperation

This has already been a second meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Poland and Ukraine this month. A high intensity of contacts makes it possible to address matters of importance for bilateral cooperation and those related to support for the agricultural sector of Ukraine under the conditions of the Russian invasion.

Technical aspects of the cooperation

During today’s video conference, the technical aspects of the cooperation were addressed, including veterinary issues and means of facilitating the transport of agricultural products from Ukraine into the EU and third countries. Deputy Prime Minister Henryk Kowalczyk pointed out that the Memorandum of Understanding between Poland and Ukraine concerning the strengthening of cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in the railway sector, which was signed by the Prime Ministers of both countries on 23 April 2022, was an instrument which could contribute to the development of mutually beneficial economic contacts.

Invitation to Poland

Deputy Prime Minister Henryk Kowalczyk invited Minister Mykola Solskiy to visit Poland in May of this year. It is planned that, among others, as part of this visit a multilateral meeting would be convened, with the participation of Ukraine, high-level representatives of the US agriculture administration and the European Commission.
