Topic of talks and purpose of visit

Today's talks concerned the finalisation of the ongoing access negotiations for Polish products such as blueberries, beef, goose and duck meat. Deputy Minister Ryszard Bartosik stressed the importance of these decisions in strengthening Polish-Vietnamese economic relations. He pointed out that talks with the Vietnamese side are yielding concrete results.

The visit of representatives of Vietnamese phytosanitary services to Poland is taking place on the initiative of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It is the result of intensive bilateral contacts implemented, among other things, as part of the work of the Polish-Vietnamese working group on cooperation in agriculture.

Potential for cooperation in agriculture with Vietnam

Vietnam is a significant partner for Poland in trade in agri-food goods. In 2022, among ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, it was the main customer of the Polish assortment.
