The subject of the talks

The main subject of the talks was the facilitation of the transport of agri-food products across the Polish-Ukrainian border and the conditions for trade in commodities of animal origin. The Deputy Prime Minister informed that Poland tried to facilitate the clearance of Ukrainian commodities, especially cereals, at the border crossings with Ukraine.

Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko expressed gratitude for the actions taken to date by Poland. In light of the blockade of seaports on the Black Sea, Ukraine tries to export agri-food products – mostly cereals and plant oils – through European seaports in Poland or Romania. Ukraine is also interested in the transit of commodities to non-European countries.
