21.09.2020

In five of the seven championships during the European Championship 2020 held last weekend in Prague, Polish-bred horses won four gold, five silver and three bronze medals.

Moreover, the hegemony of Polish-bred horses was confirmed by the titles won during this event: “The highest rated mare”, “The highest rated stallion” and “Best Movement”. The success was crowned with the title of “Best Breeder” awarded to Michałów State Stud.

“According to the observers, the European Championship 2020 was overshadowed by the Polish-bred horse competition. The year 2020 is already considered by them to be one of the best ever,” Tomasz Chalimoniuk, plenipotentiary of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for horse breeding, said.

Ferrum, a year-old colt, has confirmed his value. He enchanted the panel of judges in Prague, winning gold. At this year’s Polish National Arabian Horse Show in Janów Podlaski, Ferrum won the title “Best in Show”.

“The European Championship 2020 has proven, as everyone has already witnessed at this year’s show in Janów Podlaski, that Poland is still one of the leaders in breeding these beautiful and wonderful animals,” Tomasz Chalimoniuk said.
