Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki meets with a delegation of members of the US House of Representatives

The Head of the Government spoke with a delegation of members of the US House of Representatives, Democrats and Republicans, including Kevin McCarthy, the leader of the latter. The meeting is part of intensive Polish-American contacts aimed to coordinate actions against Russia's unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's meeting with American politicians
The conversation between the Head of the Polish Government and representatives of the Lower House of the US Congress focused on the assistance provided to Ukraine. The possibility of coordinating the international community's response to Russia's unlawful actions was also discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the issue of strengthening comprehensive support for Ukraine, ensuring security in our region and taking further steps to cut off Russia's sources of funding for the war.
The delegation of members of the US House of Representatives expressed their appreciation to the Polish authorities and Poles for the support provided to refugees from Ukraine. They also assured that NATO will defend every inch of the territory of its member states.
Polish-US cooperation in support of Ukraine
On 5 March, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Rzeszów. The discussion revolved around the reinforcement of NATO's eastern flank. The US has been taking steps towards this goal by, among other things, supplying equipment and establishing a military presence.
On 10 March, during her stay in Warsaw, Vice President Kamala Harris emphasised that her visit is a confirmation of the US commitment to strengthening the eastern flank of NATO in Poland. The United States is ready to defend all principles integral to the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
On 26 March, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with US President Joe Biden, who was visiting Poland immediately after attending the European Council, NATO and G7 summits in Brussels.
