30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with Republic of Slovenia

On the eve of the anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Slovenia, Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk met with Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia Božena Forštnarič Boroje.
The talks focused on the development of Polish-Slovenian bilateral relations and cooperation in the context of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The deputy foreign minister pointed to historical ties between the Polish and Slovenian nations and expressed his satisfaction with our countries’ close cooperation to assist Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.
The diplomats agreed that it is necessary to further strengthen Polish-Slovenian cooperation, in the bilateral, regional, and the European dimensions.
Ambassador Božena Forštnarič Boroje presented Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk with a copy of the Note on establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Slovenia signed on 10 April 1992.

Poland established diplomatic relations with Slovenia on 10 April 1992. Today, our countries are active partners within the European Union and allies within NATO, closely cooperating for European security and development. Warsaw and Ljubljana are committed to the development of the Three Seas Initiative and actively support the EU’s enlargement policy.
