Adam Hałaciński becomes Permanent Representative of Poland to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe

On behalf of the Polish President, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has presented Adam Hałaciński with his nomination as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary – Permanent Representative of Poland to the Vienna-based Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Adam Hałaciński graduated from the University of Warsaw (Faculty of Modern Languages and Faculty of Journalism and Political Science). In 1989 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1993-1999 he worked in Poland’s Permanent Representation to the OSCE in Vienna. After the posting he worked in the Department of Central and Southern Europe and in the Department of Western Europe where he was director. He then worked as deputy director in the Department of Europe, where he was responsible for cooperation with Western Europe countries. In 2002-2007 he was deputy chief of mission in Polish embassy in Vienna. In 2007-2010 Adam Hałaciński was deputy director of the Department of Europe, and then head of the Department of Central and Southern Europe. In 2010-2014 he was Polish ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden. Between 2015-2016 he was deputy director and then director of the MFA’s Bureau for the Preparation of NATO Summit in Poland and the MFA’s Plenipotentiary for the Preparation of NATO Summit. From April 2017 he has headed the Security Policy Department in the MFA.
