13.03.2022

Yesterday, in another round of evacuation from Ukraine, 58 ill children and their carers arrived in Poland on board eleven ambulances and three coaches. All the evacuees reached their destination in safety.

#PolandFirstToHelp

Through the efforts of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, and in cooperation with the crisis management team of the Polish MFA, altogether nine convoys have been organised so far, which have brought to Poland nearly 1,000 persons, including about 300 seriously ill children and blind people. They came to Poland in coaches, private vehicles, as well as on board trains and special ambulances, depending on the needs of the evacuees. Some of the ill children were collected at the Korczowa crossing point and taken in ambulances to appropriate hospitals in Poland, with others going via Poland to Germany, where their treatment will be continued.
