16.03.2022
Another group of children arrived in Poland from war-torn Ukraine. Among them are patients from Lviv whose treatment will be continued in Poland, while some children will go to other EU countries to enjoy some rest.
On Wednesday, 16 March, 42 young patients and their carers from a paediatric hospital in Lviv arrived in Poland. They came in three coaches and several ambulances escorted by Polish consuls. Once they reached Medyka, the young patients and their carers were taken to hospitals on board a special train.
Another group of 25 children arrived in Korczowa. From there they will travel to other countries where they will be able to rest and convalesce.
Apart from helping Polish nationals staying in Ukraine to reach Poland, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv has been carrying out numerous actions to provide humanitarian aid to persons queuing at border crossing points.
