Department of Development Cooperation
The Department of Development Cooperation (DDC) is responsible for planning and coordinating activities in the field of development cooperation that includes development and humanitarian assistance as well as global education.
Therefore, the DDC implements the Multiannual Development Cooperation Programme for 2021-2030 and annual development cooperation plans. It carries out activities related to Poland’s cooperation with international organisations dealing with development and humanitarian issues, particularly with the UN and the OECD, and deals with development cooperation matters arising from Poland’s membership of the European Union.
The department is tasked with supporting the activities of the National Coordinator for International Development Cooperation and the Development Cooperation Programme Board.
The DDC also acts as the National Contact Point for the Twinning and TAIEX instruments as part of programmes financed under the EU’s aid funds.
The Department of Development Cooperation runs a web portal and social media dedicated to Polish development cooperation.
