Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz visits Beijing and Shanghai

“A new LOT connection to Daxing has not only pragmatic, but also a symbolic meaning – it marks the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and China,” said Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the inauguration of a connection to Beijing’s newest airport.

On 15 January at the Warsaw Chopin Airport the deputy minister expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the number of direct connections between Warsaw and China increased to seven times a week. “More frequent flights should create an extra space for boosting our business, cultural, and tourist exchange,” highlighted the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy.

In Beijing, Polish Foreign Undersecretary Przydacz met with his Chinese counterpart Qin Gang and Deputy Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Qian Hongshan. The officials discussed the current state of bilateral relations and common initiatives for 2020. The talks also focused on trade and broadly understood economic cooperation, especially access to Polish products on the Chinese market. The Polish deputy minister sought to encourage more openness to Polish agri-food products. The officials also discussed international issues.

Last but not least, the Polish foreign deputy minister met with representatives of Chinese think-tanks to discuss China’s internal and foreign policies. While in Shanghai, Undersecretary Przydacz talked with Polish entrepreneurs about opportunities and challenges the Chinese market creates for Polish products and services.
