Both ministers agreed that relations between Poland and the UAE have great potential. “The current time when we are recovering from the pandemic and reinvigorating our relationship is particularly important, also because the United Arab Emirates celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and Dubai hosts the World Expo in the autumn, with Poland set to be very strongly represented,” said Minister Jabłoński. Our active participation in the exhibition will help showcase the potential of the Polish economy to the hosts and visitors as well as providing an important impetus for Poland-UAE cooperation.

In addition to the consultations at the foreign ministry, Minister Jabłoński’s visit focused on promoting Poland-UAE business and economic contacts, including in areas such as digital technologies, food manufacturing, processing, storage and safety, environmental protection, water management, renewable energy, tourism, medical services, and education. During talks with Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Trade at the UAE Ministry of Economy, the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy pointed out that there are more than 60,000 IT companies in our country. “Polish high-tech companies have great potential and are ready to increase their presence in the UAE market,” stressed the deputy minister. During the talks, it was agreed that our countries will set up a joint Poland-UAE business council bringing together entrepreneurs from both countries, in order to facilitate access for Polish companies to the UAE’s market and to encourage its investors to increase their presence in Poland. Deputy Minister Jabłoński discussed different forms of economic cooperation also at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and HUB-71, a support ecosystem for startups, as well as at meetings with representatives of UAE investment funds and business.
