Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński met with the Minister of State of Great Britain, Lord Wimbledon, Tariq Ahmad

The meeting focused on the possible areas of cooperation between the UK and Poland as regards humanitarian aid and protection of the civilian population in Ukraine, including assistance for victims of war crimes perpetrated by Russian soldiers. The officials noted that it is necessary to not only take care of refugees’ basic needs but also, in the case of the victims, provide them with multidimensional assistance, including psychological support. The diplomats also raised the issue of an international investigation into war crimes committed by Russian soldiers against the Ukrainian civilian population and discussed the possibility of the UK’s engagement in measures to support Ukrainian refugees.
