The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy stressed that the current dynamic economic cooperation between Poland and Japan provides a good foundation for building future relations based on mutual trust and reliability. Highlighting the importance of Japanese investment in Poland, Deputy Minister Jabłoński noted that Japanese investors have placed trust in Polish business since economic changes started in 1990. He welcomed Japanese investors’ great interest in the Polish market.

In 2020 alone, Japanese companies implemented seven major investment projects worth EUR 263 million, which helped to create 500 new jobs, and another 14 projects are underway. The key energy and infrastructure projects that are carried out in Poland offer new opportunities to engage Japanese companies and to strengthen our cooperation, both in terms of investment and technology. Concluding the Polish-Japanese Action Plan for 2021-2025 should provide an additional impetus to implement vital joint initiatives of strategic importance, stressed the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy.

Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński also expressed hope for a trade increase, particularly thanks to developing Poland’s product range dedicated especially to Japanese consumers and further elimination of existing barriers in access to the Japanese market for Polish agri-food products.
