24.06.2021
On 23 and 24 June, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz was on a visit to Berlin. Together with Magdalena Gawin, Deputy Minister at the Polish Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, he launched the exhibition Long Live Belarus! at the Pilecki Institute.
The deputy minister emphasised that Poland strongly supports the democratic aspirations of the Belarusian people and is taking a number practical measures to assist Belarusian activists, who are subject to repression or forced to leave their country.
Furthermore, Deputy Minister Przydacz held consultations with his German counterpart, State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Office Miguel Berger, and Christina Beinhoff, Deputy Director-General, Foreign Policy and Security Policy of the Federal Chancellery.
They discussed the major problems of security policy, including energy security. The talks also covered transatlantic relations and preparations ahead of Poland assuming OSCE Chairmanship in 2022. Eastern policy issues were one of the central topics raised on the eve of a European Council meeting. Deputy Minister Przydacz underlined that “considering the Russian Federation’s aggressive actions, including the hybrid attacks against Western countries, the European Union must remain united and consistently enhance its resilience.”
