The diplomats discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation. They agreed that cooperating with allies to keep up support for Ukraine at the same level as before remains a top priority. Another item on the agenda was to increase the efficiency of sanctions imposed on Russia and to allocate frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine. “We want to underscore our unwavering support for Ukraine. We’ve been working alongside other NATO allies to train Ukrainians,” said Antony Blinken during the press briefing. The US top diplomat stressed that more than 80% of assistance sent to Ukraine is flowing through Poland. He also acknowledged the fact that Polish citizens offered help to millions of Ukrainians. “This is a remarkable display of generosity,” he added.

Minister Sikorski and Secretary Blinken discussed in detail the cooperation among NATO allies: “We collaborate with our partners, we share information,” stressed Blinken. Also raised were the topics of military equipment purchases, the American military presence in Poland, and the further development of civilian nuclear energy programme in Poland. “The Polish–American relations are at the highest level of intensity in history. This year’s dynamics are impressive. We are united by common values, interests, and a similar perception of threats,” said Poland's chief diplomat during the conference. Minister Sikorski underlined: “Russia is committing war crimes by attacking civilian targets. A victim of aggression has the right to defend itself, they have a right to counter aerial attacks.” The US Secretary of State welcomed the high percentage of the Polish GDP being spent on defence, which is exceptional among all NATO members.

Both sides agreed that the Polish–American relations have never been stronger.
