The two-day consultations with ambassadors, Permanent Representatives of the Republic of Poland to international organizations, Consuls General of the Republic of Poland and directors of Polish Institutes were devoted to the current challenges facing the Polish Foreign Service. Minister Arkady Rzegocki drew attention to the recent successes of Polish diplomats applying for high positions in international structures, for example the election of Ambassador Marcin Czepelak to the Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Head of the Foreign Service thanked for the involvement of diplomatic missions supporting Polish candidates in recruitment under international organizations and the European External Action Service. An important topic of the talks of Minister Rzegocki was the activity of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its training offer, as well as the diplomatic and consular apprenticeship – recruitment. Minister Rzegocki also drew attention to the growing number of foreign institutions interested in cooperation with the academy.

Head of the Foreign Service also talked with Polish diplomats about the initiative of the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Szymon Szynkowski, aka Sęk, organizing the Polish Heritage Days around the world in May, the aim of which will be to promote Poland, Polish culture and Polish heritage.
