Meeting of Polish and French foreign ministers

Radosław Sikorski and Jean-Noël Barrot, Foreign Ministers of Poland and France, met in Warsaw on 19 November 2024. Their talks focused on the development of Polish–French relations and the continued cooperation as part of the Weimar Triangle.

The ministers emphasised the strategic importance of collaboration between Poland and France. They took stock of the ongoing work on a new Polish–French Treaty, highlighting its role in shaping the bilateral relations. They saw the potential for cooperation in defence, economy, and energy. The diplomats expressed hope that the bilateral dialogue will be intensified after Poland assumes the presidency of the EU Council. They declared interest in joint initiatives within the Weimar Triangle.
