The talks covered the situation in the Middle East and Northeastern Africa, as well as in Central Europe and the Western Balkans. The interlocutors discussed the issues of countering the negative phenomena that threaten the security of all the participating countries, such as illegal migration and terrorism. They also referred to the cooperation between the European Union and Egypt, including the provision of development aid to the latter country and potential energy cooperation (given that Egypt stands a chance of becoming a major exporter of LNG).
