Meeting of V4 and UK secretaries of state for Europe

In Prague, Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk participated in a meeting that gathered ministers for Europe of the Visegrad Group and their British counterpart Christopher Pincher.

The officials discussed issues regarding the United Kingdom leaving the EU such as implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and prospects for future cooperation. The talks focused also on some aspects of negotiations to reach a new agreement on EU-UK relations, including foreign policy and transatlantic partnership.

The meeting was held during the Czech Republic’s presidency of the Visegrad Group. Poland takes over on 1 July 2020.
