“The activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also include cooperation with Polish Radio for Abroad, whose mission is to shape opinions about Poland beyond its borders,” said Deputy Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk at the signing ceremony of an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Polskie Radio S.A, represented by the President of the Management Board Andrzej Rogoyski.
The two sides emphasized that Polish Radio for Abroad has been actively participating in promoting Poland’s recent history in connection with important anniversaries that fall in 2019, such as the 15th anniversary of Poland’s European Union membership, the 20th anniversary of Poland’s NATO membership, the 30th anniversary of political transformations and democratic changes in our country and the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two. “We will jointly continue World War Two projects, including those about the Holocaust,” said the deputy chief of Polish diplomacy. “Today, we see more clearly the need to better use the potential of social media and mobile applications to inform and tell about our country,” he added.
The agreement with Polskie Radio S.A. involves cooperation and financial support to make programmes for listeners abroad. Polish Radio for Abroad prepares materials and broadcasts programmes in English, Belarusian, German, Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish.
