MFA statement on declaring Polish diplomats personae non gratae
23.04.2021
On 23 April 2021, Polish Ambassador to Moscow Krzysztof Krajewski was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. As previously announced, he was served a diplomatic note to the effect that five Polish diplomats were declared personae non gratae.
The decision of the Russian side provides yet another example of aggressive policies and is a deliberate gesture meant to inflame relations with the neighbours and the entire international community.
The Republic of Poland has consistently been in favour of dialogue and de-escalation. In the current situation we reserve the right to an appropriate response to the Russian MFA’s decision.
