MFA statement on recent attack on U.S. embassy in Baghdad

Poland strongly condemns the attack and storming of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad which started on December 31, 2019.

We call on the Iraqi government to hold the perpetrators as well as those standing behind them accountable for their actions. Poland underlines that according to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations it is the obligation of the host country to guarantee protection of diplomatic missions and their premises.
