MFA Statement on so-called parliamentary elections in South Ossetia/Tskhinvali Region

Poland supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders. We do not recognize the results of the so-called parliamentary elections held by separatist authorities in Tskhinvali in the Georgian territory of South Ossetia/Tskhinvali Region on 9 June 2019.

These actions may hinder the international peace talks in Geneva aimed at solving the territorial conflict which arose after Russian aggression of 2008.
