Minister Jacek Czaputowicz meets with US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan

"Polish-US relations at various levels have been very dynamic recently, which is particularly important not only in view of further development of the strategic PL-US partnership, but also considering the recent tensions in Ukrainian-Russian relations," said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

During the courtesy meeting with the US deputy secretary of state, Minister Czaputowicz discussed current bilateral relations, including the schedule of high-level Polish-US visits and contacts in the first half of the next year. The officials also spoke about the current situation in NATO's eastern flank and Polish-US security cooperation. In this context, they discussed the idea of increasing American military presence in Poland.

Another important topic of the talks concerned energy security in Europe, including measures to stop the Nord Stream 2 project, as well as Polish-US economic cooperation.
