Minister Jacek Czaputowicz on a visit to Brussels

Developments in the Middle East region, cooperation aimed at supporting the Sahel states and climate diplomacy will be major points on the agenda of EU foreign ministers during the Foreign Affairs Council meeting on 20 January 2020 in Brussels.

The ministers will also focus on the current state of the Middle East peace process. They will review the outcome of the conference on Libya which will take place in Berlin one day prior to the Council meeting and they will look at possibilities of intensifying EU cooperation with third countries in regard to climate policy.

A day before the FAC meeting, on 19 January, the chief of Polish diplomacy will participate in a meeting of member countries of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). The event will mark the 20th anniversary of the Stockholm Declaration, the IHRA’s founding act, as well as the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.
