Minister Radosław Sikorski takes part in Snow Meeting conference in Lithuania

On 11-12 January, the annual Snow Meeting conference took place in Trakai, Lithuania. Hosted by Lithuania’s MFA, the event focuses on the most important international and security issues.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski took part in a closed session on the current geopolitical challenges, including conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, the Caucasus, and the Balkans, as well as covering Russia’s destabilising impact on the global security situation. The conference brought together government officials, politicians and experts from all over the world.
On the margins of the conference, Minister Sikorski met with Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis. The two spoke about security, support for Ukraine, sanctions policy against Russia and Belarus, support for Belarusian civil society, and Polish-Lithuanian cooperation within NATO and the European Union. Also discussed were certain aspects of bilateral cooperation, with particular focus on the situation of Polish national minority in Lithuania.
