On 19 December, Minister Radosław Sikorski met in London with UK Foreign Secretary David Lindon Lammy.

Minister Radosław Sikorski and Foreign Secretary David Lindon Lammy expressed their satisfaction with the state of relations between Poland and the United Kingdom, as well as with the cooperation in the Big Five format between the European Union and the United Kingdom launched in Warsaw on 19 November. The interlocutors emphasised the fundamental convergence of positions between Poland and the United Kingdom. The diplomats discussed meetings planned for the coming weeks, including at heads of government level.

Minister Sikorski and Foreign Secretary Lammy discussed cooperation on long-term support for Ukraine, including on the next steps in sanctions policy against Russia. They also covered possible scenarios for developments in Syria.

Minister Radosław Sikorski outlined plans related to Poland’s EU Council presidency, including the planned talks on UK-EU relations.
