Minister Rau meets with head of US diplomacy

On 5 March in Rzeszów, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the initiative of the US side.

Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with US Congress delegation

The visit of the chief of US diplomacy to Poland’s Podkarpacie region is part of the United States’ efforts aimed at coordinating international response to Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression against Ukraine.

The interlocutors mainly discussed efforts related to the tightening of sanctions against Russia, NATO military strengthening, including the Alliance’s eastern flank, as well as comprehensive aid for Ukraine, in particular humanitarian assistance in connection with the influx of refugees from Ukraine into Poland.

Apart from the visit to Poland, Antony Blinken’s visit includes several European capitals namely Brussels, Chisinau, Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn.
